ELECTROCHEMISTRY — I do lots of embedded audio DSP with microcontrollers and FPGAs, some analog electronics, and lately a lot of PCBs and enclosures. The new work is up top; scroll through the leader for the older projects.
I really enjoy making my own audio processing and hardware, and trying to do something different than what's already out there.

A flex-sensor MIDI controller with frets spaced like a guitar, worn on the forearm. With Ryota Sato.

A WaveNet guitar amp pruned by 90% that sounds the same, running on an iPhone. Paper and demo with Ryota Sato at DAFx26.

The smallest possible eurorack case, custom power connectors, brass standoffs, and open-source modules reflashed with my own firmware: a Prophet-6 emulation, a waveshaper, digital oscillators.

A MIDI controller and multi-FX pedal on a Daisy Seed for my HX Stomp: more footswitches, a looper button, and 5V-to-9V power.

A polyphonic MIDI-controlled synthesizer with a touchscreen you draw your audio waveform on.

A 3-voice volts-per-octave analog synthesizer with a VCA, envelope generator, and pitch glide.


A 16-bit 48 kHz I2S FPGA audio codec implemented in the open-source iCE40 FPGA, with some basic realtime audio DSP.


A DAC and level shifter built for an Arduino UNO, but configurable for any digital processor.

This is an area I find very fun, and is actually how I got into technology in the first place.

A little multifunction clear-OLED prototype watch with custom graphics, a menu, and field-recorder capabilities through a MEMS microphone.

An old project from high school that I made a project PDF of. It was the first time I made a PCB and really messed around with circuits.

I'm currently working on making housings for some of these projects so they're more like products, but here they are in their current state.
