Features
By clicking the rotary encoder button, a menu can be navigated by scrolling the encoder. Here the time can be adjusted, and the field recorder used. By clicking ‘record,’ audio is recorded into the microcontroller with a peripheral I2S microphone. When ‘playback’ is clicked, the samples are played back with a progress bar.
Why
I realized how convenient a field-recorder watch would be for recording band practice. While there are similar products on the market, notably an Apple Watch, this would be substantially cheaper, and it will look a lot more cool.
Another clock
Figuring out how to use the microcontroller hardware more effectively to keep accurate time. A little demo with a simpler 7-segment display.
